As promised, we’re starting to post the full videos of interviews from the recent Code Conference.

A new video of one of the many stellar speakers for the event, which took place just over a week ago in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., will go up every day. (You can see a compilation video of the speakers here.)

Today, it’s time for a closeup of Reed Hastings, Netflix CEO and founder, who has made himself rather visible of late for a number of reasons.

Of course, there is the success of the premium online video service’s original programming offerings — especially “House of Cards” and “Orange Is the New Black” — which has positioned the company at the center of convergence between Hollywood and Silicon Valley.

Most prominently of late, though, has been Hastings’s very vocal kerfuffle with pipe giants Comcast and Verizon over streaming speeds and access to the “free” Internet. Given that Netflix gobbles up a lot of that network due to its popular consumer service, the battle over how we all get our entertainment digitally should be one of the most interesting going forward.
