Re/code on TV: Snapchat’s Privacy Bumbles and Apple’s Bid for Beats

Oh, snap! Re/code’s Kara Swisher went on CNBC this week to “say the kindest thing” she could about Snapchat after the Federal Communications Commission slapped the ephemeral messaging service with 20 years of privacy audits for not being all that ephemeral after all.

(Spoiler: It wasn’t that kind.)

Also during her “Squawk Feed” appearance, Swisher pondered Apple’s possible reasons for dropping more than $3 billion for headphone maker Beats, including the chance to “up its cool factor” and grab a ready-made streaming music service.

Re/code’s media editor Peter Kafka went on CNBC on Friday as well to discuss how the Beats products might change in the hands of Apple’s Jony Ive and Eddy Cue.
