News Brief

Intuit announced on Thursday that it was acquiring the startup Lettuce, which makes software tools to help small businesses manage their orders and inventory. Lettuce was already one of Intuit’s partners and had integrated its service with the QuickBooks bookkeeping software, raising the question of whether Intuit would continue to allow other similar services from third parties to integrate with QuickBooks. “Nothing has changed,” the head of the partner program said in a blog post.
