According to a Facebook spokesman, the company does not plan to redesign the Oculus VR gaming console hardware, as was reported by the New York Times on Wednesday. Facebook said it had no plans to rebrand the device — which is yet to be released — with the Facebook logo on the hardware and a Facebook interface. The social network spent $2 billion to acquire the gaming startup on Tuesday.
