News Brief

Online retailer Birchbox plans to open a physical retail location in New York this spring, likely by May. The company told the New York Times that the store — which is the company’s first foray into offline, in-person shopping — won’t necessarily be a moneymaking venture, rather more of a tech-focused brand-building exercise. The company also plans to raise a new round of venture funding in the near future.
