BermanBraun, the well-known Hollywood digital and entertainment production company, has changed its name to Whalerock Industries. The move comes after a split between founders Lloyd Braun and Gail Berman last month.

The company, now led by Braun and based in Santa Monica, Calif., has 150 employees. Its digital brands include Wonderwall, Mandatory, Mom.me, Tested, Glo, PawNation, Purple Clover, Cinefix and Skye. It also has done a range of strategic deals with Starcom MediaVest, AOL, Microsoft and others.

Most recently, BermanBraun partnered with AOL to “reimagine” its Moviefone site. That effort will include a new design and user experience, including new mobile apps and the bulking up of its social and content features.

Along with the new name, Whalerock has also reorganized its television and film units, combining them under a new president, Andrew Mittman. He has overseen the film division since 2009. In addition, Jenna Glazier will become SVP of television and film.
