News Brief

Elasticsearch, the open-source tool that helps companies zip quickly through big data sets so they can make their apps feel alive — customers include Netflix, Yelp, Verizon, Foursquare, GitHub, Associated Press, SoundCloud, Facebook and McGraw-Hill — is launching its first commercial product. The new product, which will start at $500 per year and is called Marvel, should help companies manage and monitor their Elasticsearch deployments.
