News Brief

Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus said Thursday that the security breach at its U.S. stores carried out between July and October has put data from 1.1 million customer debit and credit cards at risk. To date, credit card companies have notified the retailer of the fraudulent use of data from 2,400 of those cards, it said. Like Target, Neiman Marcus said it would offer free credit monitoring and ID theft protection to customers who shopped at the stores between January 2013 and now.
